NCQA eCQM Certification ™
NCQA’s eCQM Certification is precise, automated testing that verifies compliance with eCQM specifications and the ability to report eCQMs using the Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) Categories I and III. Automating testing logic increases the rigor of measure review and improves the accuracy of reporting measures that are based on complex software logic.
- Health plans can save time and money by using NCQA-certified logic to produce standard supplemental data for Health Effectiveness Data Information Set (HEDIS) reporting, a requirement of Health Plan Accreditation.
- Eligible providers and hospitals can use validated logic to use in reporting quality measures to CMS for the Quality Payment Program, as well as NCQA’s Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH).

NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Prevalidation
KPI Ninja’s Ninja Universe is prevalidated by NCQA for 22 PCMH Criteria areas totaling 29 transfer credit components plus practice support for an additional 19 components toward NCQA’s PCMH 2017 scoring.
NCQA’s PCMH Prevalidation includes a rigorous evaluation of a submitted health IT solution’s functionality including but not limited to, reporting functions, report examples, screen shots, live demonstrations and other relevant documentation. Based on the review of information submitted above, NCQA approves or declines autocredit based on PCMH factor-level requirements and designates for which factors a product is able to “support” practices.
"We are very excited to see our partner, KPI Ninja, achieve this recognition. Their analytics platform has allowed us to improve outcomes and efficiency by reducing the amount of manual abstraction required. Through this we have been able to build the trust of our providers and have focused on improving quality outcomes for our community. By achieving Prevalidation, KPI Ninja is further demonstrating their commitment to our value-based care journey and helping to improve our operations and ability to easily show the value we offer to our patients and communities."

Tyler Toline
President/CEO, Franciscan Care Services, Inc.
NCQA Patient-Centered Specialty Practice Prevalidation
NCQA’s PCSP Prevalidation evaluates Electronic Health Record systems, advanced registries, population health management tools, care coordination tools, patient engagement tools and other related health technology solutions providing functionality that completely meet or support factor-level requirements within applicable NCQA PCSP Standards.
If a health IT solution completely meets the functional requirements of a given factor, automatic credit, “autocredit” points are awarded. If the health IT solution provides significant functionality that aligns with the requirements of the PCMH standards for a given factor, but does not fully meet the factor level requirement, a “supporting” designation is awarded. Once a solution receives autocredit or a supporting designation for one or more factors, it is considered “Prevalidated.” Practices that use an NCQA Prevalidated system with autocredit awarded to a factor do not have to submit documentation for that associated factor within their PCSP Survey.
"Whether you are an independent provider or a large health plan, measuring and improving quality impacts all of us in health care. KPI Ninja is the only vendor to hold NCQA’s eCQM Certification as well as PCMH and PCSP Prevalidation status. This level of recognition communicates their deep commitment and robust capability to support value-based care and leave a footprint in the health care landscape."

Costs and Disclosures
- This certified product-version may require one-time and monthly costs to establish interfaces for importing, calculating, filtering, recording, exporting and reporting clinical quality measures (c.1, c.2, c.3, c.4). The one-time costs are required for initial integration of the existing data sources into KPI Ninja’s Ninja Universe platform. The monthly costs are to support the following activities: analytics as a service offering, support, ongoing product maintenance and enhancements. There may be additional costs for integrations or statement of work outside the typical scope of the project or service, as identified in the Master Services Agreement.
- Contractually, the provider must sign a contract and the limitations are generally described in the Master Services Agreement.
- KPI Ninja supports Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) within the Ninja Universe platform for all user roles, if desired, for remote access. Users have a password and will get a code via the user’s phone or email address for validation purposes.
For more information about how Ninja Universe demonstrates functionality of its certified criteria in real world settings and scenarios, please refer to our Real World Testing plan or visit the Certified Health IT Product List.

eHealth Exchange Validated Product
- The eHealth Exchange Product Testing Program was developed to provide a high degree of assurance that systems developed for use by eHealth Exchange participants conform to the eHealth Exchange Performance Specifications and underlying standards and interoperate with other systems without error or further customization, while remaining conformant.
- Vendors that successfully pass a rigorous set of required conformance tests help significantly reduce the level of effort and cost to any organization that onboards using an eHealth Exchange Validated Product.
"Providers and teams in every health care setting are focused on value-based care and how the seamless exchange of patient information can be the enabler of better outcomes and contract success. Becoming an eHealth Exchange Validated Product expands upon and reinforces our commitment to support our clients as they look to improve outcomes with technology and analytics built on the most comprehensive, up-to-date health information."

NCQA Data Aggregator Validation (DAV) Certified Data Partner
NCQA’s Data Aggregator Validation program evaluates clinical data streams to help ensure that health plans, providers, government organizations and others can trust the accuracy of aggregated clinical data for use in Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) reporting and other quality programs.
- A Certified Data Partner is an organization that does not have legal access to data to conduct primary source verification but may meet other DAV standards and supports DAV Aggregators (Responsible Parties) for validation of the data stream.
- KPI Ninja is certified for certain standards within the program, showing that we are a good partner to support organizations that want to get data streams validated by NCQA. The standards for which KPI Ninja are certified on are portable, which means customers of KPI Ninja wishing to get data streams validated will have a reduced lift during the Data Aggregator Validation process.
"KPI Ninja brings technical expertise and innovation that directly supported our success in achieving DAV status for WISHIN. KPI Ninja is a leader in advancing value-based care, and we are proud to partner with KPI to enable better health outcomes."
